Accepting donations for
"Back-to-School" supplies for local families
The Outreach and Discipleship Committees are seeking donations of schoolsupplies for our August 8th Back-to-School Carnival for immigrant families.
Boxes will be in Wright Herberich Hall on July 19th through July 26th. Donated items might include pencils, colored pencils, pens, mechanical pencils, erasers, 24-packs of crayons, scissors, rulers, composition notebooks, markers and glue sticks.
We are also looking for individuals willing to sponsor a family by providing each school-aged child in the family with a new backpack, water bottle, lunchbox, and a t-shirt to wear on the first day of school.
You can indicate your interest in sponsoring a family by signing up at the display in WHH or reaching out to Dottie Erb or Gwynne Rearick. You are also welcome to team up with another Westminster member to sponsor a family. Online giving is available as well. westminsterakron.org, select “Give”
